MISSION We value the authority of God's Word. Our church is committed to teaching the Bible clearly and authoritatively as the truth that leads people to God and equips believers for godly living. (II Timothy 3:15-17; Psalm 119:9,11,105) We value corporate worship. Our church is committed to worshipping God corporately in a way that glorifies Him and encourages a proper response of faith. (John 4:23; Psalm 27:4; 95:6; 96:9.) We value prayer. Our church is committed to emphasizing the importance of bringing every aspect of the ministry to God in prayer. (Matthew 7:7-11; I Thessalonians 5:17.) We value the Great Commission. Our church is committed to taking responsibility for disciple-making in our community and throughout the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8.) We value partnership in the Gospel. Our church is committed to developing and supporting those among its members who are called to serve vocationally within the church, those who are called to plant churches locally and nationally, and those who are called to serve as missionaries cross-culturally. (Acts 13:1-3; Romans 10:14-15; I Corinthians 9:14.) We value community. Our church is committed to incorporating our members into a spiritual family, which will manifest corporate and personal holiness, mutual accountability, and love for one another. (Romans 12:10; 15:14; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 6:2.) We value team ministry. Our church is committed to working together as a team, with all the members utilizing their specific gifts and talents. In addition, our leaders are committed to training other leaders in order to multiply effective ministry. (Romans 12:4-5; II Timothy 2:2.) We value servant leadership. The leaders of our church are committed to leading the people by following the pattern of Jesus, who genuinely and humbly cared for his followers as a servant-leader. (Matt. 20:26-28; 1 Peter 5:1-4) |
